What FutureSchool Can Do For Teachers

Teaching incredible lessons and engaging with students who want to learn is every teacher’s best-case scenario for a school day. This ambition can get mired down by myriad of factors: lesson planning overload, untrackable variation in skill levels among students, and a range of administrative tasks that take away from the core of what we would like to accomplish.

The FutureSchool system sets out to lighten that load, so you can get back to doing what you wanted to in the first place – teach. It’s essentially the ultimate classroom assistant for both literacy and numeracy.

Developed Using Your Feedback

FutureSchool has been crafter around the needs of real, working teachers doing the same work that you do. Teachers were consulted, and using their feedback, we focused on the major areas of concern, where they felt either unsupported or overwhelmed. With their input, we created a system that’s simple to use and empowers both the teacher, and the student, and removes time-consuming barriers that detract from the central purpose of learning. We focus on three areas that teachers flagged as time consuming and cause for concern: assessment, assignment and marking.

Understanding Needs

The use of FutureSchool starts with a smart diagnostic tool, that analyses each student’s individual results and progress in the curriculum. By inputting individual progress, FutureSchool uses that information to create a bespoke study plan, based around exactly what a given student needs to learn. This means that you won’t spend time teaching a whole class about quadratics when the majority of the room has understood the concept – you can focus on those who don’t, and move the class on to look at their collective weak spots. FutureSchool eliminates the frustration and repetition that can occur in the learning process.

Tracking Results

In regards to assessment, the system accurately records each student’s individual progress, and provides detailed monitoring and reporting. This means that each student can generate their own study plan, that fits in with the classroom’s overall course curriculum. Think of it as a map of lessons, where student can move between points that they need to work on, in order to reach the same destination.

Learning Resources

To that end, FutureSchool also comes with an incredibly large database of resources to support your student’s learning. This includes practice lessons, video tutorials created by education professionals, summative, informative examinations, reporting and monitoring systems and the ability to create advice reports, telling both the teacher and the student where they should focus their efforts for best results.

The system also includes a messaging system between teachers and individual pupils, so that no question goes unanswered. This has proved particularly useful for students who otherwise won’t ask questions in class for fear of speaking up, and helps to build their confidence. It’s also a great way of recording answers, so pupils can look at the answers they have received and learn not just from their own notes, but from the teacher’s words directly.

FutureSchool caters to lessons for students in reception, right up to year 12. It provides teachers with the ability to easily drag and drop lessons from the FutureSchool lesson database, in order to construct their own classroom curriculums. We also offer over six million randomly generated questions, that pupils can use to learn and practice in an interactive environment.

Progress Reports

Teachers can get an overview of the work carried out by pupils, and observe changes in attainment based on their results. These results can be displayed to teachers graphically, through graphs and charts, that allow displays to include both individual students, as well as consolidated class results. A quick look at these reports can give you an accurate picture of where you stand versus where you would like to be in your class’s progression. Collating this information will keep you and your class on track – and FutureSchool does it for you, almost effortlessly.

Class Engagement

With a huge array of learning assignments at a range of levels, you can use single lesson assignments to engage with students at different points, depending on their needs. You and your students can access FutureSchool via desktop and laptop computers, as well as electronic whiteboards and tablets.

The goals here at FutureSchool are simple: to provide you with a system that gets rid of inefficiencies, lets you keep on top of both the individual and cohesive needs of students, and gets out of your way so you can focus on teaching. We provide lessons, tests, interactivity and a whole new level of engagement with learning, so that students can become independent learners and be empowered to reach and fulfil their potential.
