FAQs

Is it difficult to use?
FutureSchool was written by teachers in the full knowledge that teacher time is valuable, so the system has been written to be EASY TO USE, and more importantly EASY TO LEARN TO USE. We understand that free time is at a premium for teachers, so saving teacher’s time has always been of key importance.

I need something that will NOT add work for my teachers?
Exactly what our developer teachers said! This system MUST save teachers time, and ease the burden of marking, recoding and reporting. FutureSchool ticks all of those boxes, PLUS it greatly cuts down the time used in lesson preparation and planning. Whether using a preset course, or creating a new course, literally takes 3 minutes. But we would say that wouldn’t we.
The best thing to do is see it for yourself. We can arrange for either an onsite or online demonstration at a time to suit you. Simply complete our contact form and one of the team will be in touch very shortly.

What year groups is the system suited for?
FutureSchool caters for Year 0 (reception/kindergarten) to Year 13 for both mathematics and English.

Is it purely for remedial or for failing students?
It’s true many schools use it to target those students with learning difficulties, or just in a remedial context. However, because the system comes complete with all content for Years 1-13, teachers are also able to provide extension programmes of work for their brightest and Gifted and Talented students. Regardless of ability level teachers are able to configure the system to cater for all ages and all skill levels within their class groups. Indeed, in addition to the preset courses that are available, teachers can quickly and easily develop their own courses from the complete library of FutureSchool resources. For a quick overview of this process, click here to watch a short video on CourseBuilder.

Will it work with our national curriculum?
In short, yes. Currently FutureSchool has fully aligned its 2,500 lessons and 6 million questions to over 200 individual curricula, covering almost every country, including a range of international curricula such as The International Baccalaureate® and Cambridge International Examinations.

Additionally, FutureSchool also offers teachers a special feature called the CourseBuilder and this function is invaluable, as it allows teachers to create their own courses on demand, enabling a teacher to select from the entire FutureSchool content, and construct in seconds, a specific course based on topics, keywords, year groups, whether to cover for absences, revision, etc. For a quick overview of this process, click here to watch a short video on CourseBuilder.

Can we see a demonstration?
Of course you can. We can arrange for either an onsite or online demonstration at a time to suit you. Simply complete our contact form and one of the team will be in touch very shortly.

In the interim, we’d suggest you have a look at this short video, which will give you a good overview of the system. You can copy this link and share it with your colleagues if that would help.

Whilst the system has the full range of standard Curricula schemes of work, by year, including a range of revision courses, our CourseBuilder function seems to be a really useful, and often-used feature, when wanting to target particular students, from remedial to gifted and talented, or just for specific class revision.

Do we need computers for every student?
No. One of our strengths is that teachers can utilise FutureSchool in a whole class environment using either an interactive whiteboard, or just a projector and screen.

Are we able to trial the system before buying it?
Yes of course and, in fact, we insist that you try it before you buy it. Whilst we know how good it is, you need to be 100% sure that it is going to give you exactly what you want. However, we recommend that the first step in evaluating the system is to avail yourself of a free onsite or online demonstration. This will take no more than 30 minutes, but you will know, almost for sure, whether your feel that Futureschool will achieve the outcome your seeking or not. After the demonstration, if you feel there is some merit in exploring this further, then we would arrange for a free no obligation formal evaluation of the system within your school’s frameworks.

How much does it cost the school?
We know this is probably the most important question you’d like answered right now, but because it depends on a number of factors; country, number of pupils, subjects and the like, it’s simply not possible to provide this on the site. However, the basic principle is that the schools buys an annual licence for a certain number of students, and like most things, the more you buy, the cheaper it gets.

Do you have to install anything on our network?
No, FutureSchool is a cloud-based system, so as long as you have a suitable internet connection, that’s all you need.

Our connection is not that good, what now?
No problem, we just need to speak to your IT department to check out the download capacity. We have a proprietary solution which enables schools that do have a slow internet connection to use our Content Accelerator, which allows our video tutorials to be used by all the students in the school and, of course, the
students can also access the video tutorials using their home internet or anywhere else at any time. If you’d like to find out a little more about how we can help you, complete our contact form and we’ll be in contact shortly.

Our connection is really bad, what then?
Don’t worry, we can probably still help. FutureSchool is currently used in many schools that only have dialup connection, and even then, it’s not too good.
If your school is in a remote area where broadband internet is not possible, too expensive, etc., we do have a stand-alone version of our system, that will provide the perfect solution for your school. If you’d like to find out a little more about how we can help you, complete our contact form and we’ll be in contact shortly.

Can we just get it for specific group of students within the school?
Absolutely. Our objective is to make FutureSchool fit within your frameworks and for your outcomes, not the other way round! You can target as many or as few students as you need right now. You can always get additional licences over time as need and budget allows.

Can it be used purely for revision?
You can use FutureSchool in whatever way you need. It is completely flexible in terms of how it’s implemented. Revision is certainly a focus at specific times of the year, and teachers can select lessons from the complete range and create their own revision study courses within minutes – and this can be assigned for a class or an individual student. Click here to see just how easy and quick it can be to create a completely customised course: CourseBuilder

Do we have to use the courses already in the system?
There are over 2,500 lessons in system and, although the sequence of lessons will follow your country’s curriculum, many teachers, for many reasons, also create their own courses. Perhaps it’s to revise a particular topic, or they’re going away for a week and want to set work before they go, perhaps you want to
set homework for the week/month/term. Teachers can create their own courses within minutes – and this can be assigned for a class or an individual student. Click here to see just how easy and quick it can be to create a completely customised course: CourseBuilder

How long would it take to train a school or teachers on how to us FutureSchool?
FutureSchool is a very easy system to use and to learn to use. This is, in part, because it was developed by teachers. Training a teacher, or group of teachers, usually takes an hour and, in that time, they will have a very good understanding of how to use FutureSchool.

Do you have a distributor/Licensee in my country?
Collaboration is key to our success. We are always looking to partner with others in the education industry in each country. If you’d like to find out a little more about becoming the exclusive partner for your country just complete our contact form and we’ll be in contact shortly.

Would I be exclusive in my country?
